Nestled on the shores of the Tiwi Islands, off the coast of Darwin, artists of Pirlangimpi, Milikapiti and Wurrumiyanga share stories of their connection to country through Jilamara (design).

Through this collaboration with NORTH, female artists from Munupi, Jilamara and Ngaruwanajirri Art Centres along with their families, invite you to embrace their culture and wear it with pride.

"I'll feel happy when people start wearing my design, I'll be proud. When you wear our designs and you feel proud, send a photo back to us and we can feel proud too." Bernadette Mungatopi

Here we are!

Working in a non-for-profit and collaborative capacity allows NORTH to realise our values.

At this stage in our growth as an enterprise, we are unable to fully fund the manufacturing stage of this collection, making a pre-order process the perfect solution to ensure we remain financially responsible and our artists get the best deal.

The successful launch of the Tiwi collection will mean three things:
1. A new income stream for our artists & their families is created through the purchase of handscreen printed textiles.
 2. Community pride is strengthened as Tiwi designs make their way around the world.
3. NORTH as an enterprise will be financially supported to develop future collaborations that support and broaden the exposure of remote Indigenous textile design.

This is where you come in!

Made with care

Out of respect to country, this collection has been developed with ethical manufacturing practices, made in Australia.
